Secluded Cove Grand Opening

The grand opening of the Secluded Cove Boardwalk mall is scheduled for tomorrow, November 1 at 12PM PST/SLT, with a special ribbon cutting ceremony. Everyone is welcome to come and experience this new build for themselves.

To quote the official press release: “Secluded Cove Boardwalk is a quaint seaside boardwalk on the Thistledown sim featuring a unique build of mixed shops. Each shop is filled with a SL designer’s goods, including:

ZOMG!

I’m in a bit of a pickle here. I have a couple of Halloween parties to attend and I haven’t chosen one costume yet. I don’t know, it seems like everyday is Halloween in SL™ so what’s the big fuss about? Still, never one to ruin anyone else’s good time, I’m trying to get into the spirit of things and find a couple that I like. But I have a couple of requirements: my ass can’t hang out and it has to be high quality. I’m a stickler for high quality clothing and accessories – everything actually. Can anyone suggest a costume that might suit me? A LM or slurl would be cool, you can add a comment or IM me in-world with the info. I’ll be featuring what I choose to wear here (if I actually find something I like) in the next few days.

Tante Truus Gown Contest

The Tante Truus contest is based around the new gown from Sascha’s Designs. This contest started yesterday and runs until November 5, 2008. The lucky winners will be announced on November 12, 2008.

The dress is available in 11 colors for L$ 400 each, or the pack of all colors is also available for L$ 3000.

Come And Get It – Quickly!

I am a very naughty blogger, but I had to tell you about these free preview skins of the Aurora Line from [42] because I don’t know how long they’ll be around. How do you get them? All you have to do is teleport over, smack the subscribe-o-matic and they are your gift for joining. There is also a L$ 42 sale going on with current skins: Laeh Line, Ana Line, Heavy Metals Line, and Fantasy Glow Line which will be discontinued when the new skin line is released.

The freebie skins use Eloh Eliot and Sezmra Svarog’s base skins, and use hand-painting for a unique look. A cute feature on these skins is that the eyebrows and lips are tintable using the appearance sliders.

I’ve Been Neglectful

I have been sort of neglecting this blog (and others) lately. I guess I’ve been too busy in-world to devote a whole lot of time to amusing my 2 readers. Last night I DJed at Seven Ultra Lounge – I’m on the bill fridays at 6PM PST – and I wore this little number while shaking my stuff and rockin’ those ears, at the same time! I finally logged in tonight to capped messages and tons of notecards to go through, so I thought, hey, I’m looking pretty still, I should share such an outfit with you!

Besides, I am so in love with this earrings, and they were seriously cheap, so you need to go get yourself a pair now!

Look, It’s ME!

Today the new accessories from BAX Accessories designer Julia Merosi were released onto the grid. I was lucky enough to be asked to be the model for the posters that you’ll see up in stores. Currently there are 2 sets available for L$ 490, in “Wool Night” and “Wool Snow”. Each set comes with the gloves, scarf, and the hat in 2 versions – without and with hair in 16 colors. All the pieces have these sparkly gems that change color as well, I can’t even tell you how many colors there are but it’s a really cute way to help accessorize an outfit. Another great thing about it is that it’s scripted to resize so you can easily edit the pieces for the right fit. I know I’ll be wearing these pieces in all sorts of combinations in the upcoming months, because I love winter in SL™, even if I despise it in RL

Feeling Festive

Happy Thanksgiving to all my fellow Canadians! I celebrated yesterday and so it’s back to the grind for me today

Another week, another set of exciting releases from Kungler’s Design. The first outfit is from the couture line and is called Isobel. Yep, you’ve probably seen it all over the place in a short amount of time. It’s hard not to like this gown, it makes a big impact on you from the moment you put it on. This is the kind of dress that doesn’t need a lot of description given about it. The bangles are included for both arms and they seem to give it a more artistic flair.

Pretty Pink…Elf?

I heard about the opening of Tuli Asturias’ new sim, Journey and that they were holding a pink party today! So I thought I’d put together something pink for the occasion and pop on over after a quick stop at the Public Photo Garden. Never heard of that place? Basically it’s a large park with photospheres and flat backdrops for all your picture taking needs. There’s even one with a dance pole if that’s your thing. Since yesterday, I’ve been popping around as a faerie/elf/whatever you want to call it. So I thought since this is the month of costumes and fancy-dress that I’d keep my ears and go as one fabulous creature of the forest.

I just wanted to let you all know that after the success of August’s J-Rockapalooza, we’re back with another installment tonight at 6PM PST/SLT! I’ll be at Hooters n’ Shooters once again spinning the J-Rock and J-Pop for you all, and this time there’s also a sweet contest I’m running with L$ 500 going out to 2 winners, 1 male and 1 female, everyone is welcome to attend and join in if you like To join the contest all you have to do is show up wearing something that says J-rock/J-pop or Japanese (not literally, but if it does, hey that’s cool too).

Fall Fashions From Kungler’s

I can’t believe it’s been a week since my last post. Since then, the weather has gotten cooler and their is autumn in the air. I have been quite busy in both lives but today I found something definately worthy of blogging. Two great new outfits are being released by Kungler’s Design this week and I had to show them to you. The first one is called Gabriella and has a leather shirt under a cowl-neck sweater. This is followed by a fat belt-styled corset, crinkled pants, and black nail polish. It’s a bit dominatrix meets holiday wear. In any case it’s an interesting combination, and of course, you can wear the tops alone, and without the belt. The sweater has prim cuffs and cowl-neck collar, and the pants have slim prim cuffs as well.
