I’ll Be Your Papa, Paparazzi

I'll Be Your Papa, Paparazzi

Elle Kirshner has a cute store called Pulling Strings which specializes in cute poses and fun furniture animations with all sorts of uses. Many of her pose sets are for 2 or more, great for special occasions or a giggle with friends. Recently, she released a new Paparazzi set consisting of 4 poses, poseball style. Each pose is sold as a single for L$ 90, or in the 4-pack for L$ 300. These new paparazzi poses are great for either “photographer” or “SLelebrity”.  The pose used in the picture up top is called “Fisticuffs”, while the one used in the picture below is called “Get Out Of My Face!”.

I think these poses add a good amount of humor to the sometimes too-serious world of Second Life™. I should also mention that Elle has a lucky chair in her store with some of the most popular of her poses, as well as a Subscribe-O-Matic so you can learn about store updates without using up a group space. I hear that you get a free gift when you join, as well as monthly group gifts. While you’re at it, stop by next door at Elle’s other store, Second Spaces, for some high-quality furniture and home accessories.

Latex Lucy

Latex Lucy

I’ve gotten a number of items from Seldom Blue by IndigoBlue Dagostino. This is the first time I took a look at their new latex outfit called “Latex Lucy” even though there is a special freebie version that I had skimmed across reading some other fashion blogs.  Appropriate for the occasion, I also took a field trip to somewhere new for the photos – The Castle of Dark Desires. Now admittedly, there was a lot to see there, but seeing how I was just there to take a couple of pictures I snapped and then ran home to write this up for you.

The first picture has pieces in the metallic blush color from the fatpack. In the fat pack there is the corset top, the bra top, shorts, and thong on all layers and in both opaque and sheer (opaque is worn by me). There is a short and long skirt option (although you should wear the short one with the long one for the best effect) and a pair of opaque pants on both underpants and pants layers. If I counted right, that’s 22 items as well as the prim skirts. Metallic blush was my favorite color but you can also use latex to mix with fashion items to create a unique look, so I also asked to see the set in charcoal.

With a little less shine on the charcoal pieces, you could use the tops for layering with jackets or camisoles. The short skirt could be paired with a sparkly top and used for clubbing or something like that. Here I presented the set in a more traditional way for latex to be used but there certainly are options. Each fatpack comes with all the pieces I mentioned for L$ 1695. You might also want to check in for the outfit that was on special to try out some limited options before dropping the big bucks.

(PS: My connection was janky today, but I wanted to get the word out on this outfit.)

What Does This Make You Think Of?

What Does This Make You Think Of?

When my friend ZCal Decosta told me he had made a Rorschach avatar, I was stumped. I had no idea what he could possibly mean by that…Rorschach like the ink blot test? So when I saw what he had come up with, I was actually pleasantly surprised. He sells all sorts of neat stuff at his store Human Bean Juice (HBJ) but this is something I had really never seen before. Inspired by the “Watchmen” graphic novel, it’s not only the shape, skin, and outfit, but the face comes with 3 inkblot masks that creepily change from one pattern to another (you click on it to choose from one of the 3 styles). The coat has the option of a flexi bottom or a sculpted one. As well you get a partial AO so you can walk around freaking people out in your fabulous new av. All this can be yours for the low, low, price of L$ 750.  This isn’t just a specialty av, you can totally use parts of it for your mix-and-match needs, which is always a good deal.

Honestly it felt a little strange to walk around in this when my normal, day to day, avatar is so different. But then, that’s probably why it is so great, because it is so unbelievably odd and unique.

(And a special thanks to my photog for the night, Shay Savon!)
