Frisky Fall

There is a chill in the air now, and it seems like fall is zipping past me. The best part of colder weather is that there are a few more fashion options, like outerwear. I love coats, and this new Bristol Trench from Mon Tissu is so on point with the double breasted buttons and complementary edge piping. One of my favorite people in the world gave this to me as a gift, so a big thank you to my sister Sommer!

Also, take a look at my heels. Aren’t they fabulous? I love how unique they are, while still being refined enough to wear in a variety of ways. They are by Ingenue and are specially made for the Zodiac monthly event. They also come in a blood red or dark aqua, and each are only L$ 150, making them a steal!

Hello, Fall!

Ah, the air is crisp now and I know that fall is really here. In Canada, it’s Thanksgiving weekend – so a Happy Thanksgiving to them! I miss my home and traditions there, but in this outfit I feel like I could stop in at a family meal right now and look in place.

My turtleneck sweater and cute plaid skirt are by E! Eclectic Apparel and are available at this round of FaMESHed! The sweater and skirts are priced at L$ 250 each, and they are really worth it. The textures are great and the rigging is stellar.

Hip Summer

I imagined Bananarama’s “Cruel Summer” a bit in the making of this post. Just replace “cruel” with “hip”…and then make up the rest of the words like I do. I’m wearing a bunch of items available at Vintage Fair 2012, and since it will be coming to a close on August 29 you should stop by soon!

Let’s start from the bottom up, with LITA Floral Shorts from .::PiCHi::., which are mesh and come in a few color options. I went for a pink and purple look today, so I paired them with a fuchsia top from *Mon Cheri*. I like mixing patterns, so the Zigzag Tote from Crash Republic was a nice way to keep with the same color palette but give the look some diversity. It’s a free gift, so you’ll want to be sure to grab it.

My skin and hair are also at the fair. My Veronica hair is by Wasabi Pills and reminds me of Hollywood starlet Veronica Lake. My skin is one of the Eliza 80′s skins that are by Izzie’s. These have a very youthful feel, and the make-ups do remind me of the trends in the 80′s (what little I remember from back then). All together these items become a hip summer look that make me sorry that it’s almost over.

By The Lamp Light

I took a little different approach today with my pictures, hope you like them!

Yes folks, this is another Vintage Fair 2012 post! This time you’ll get the links directly to the stores too! First you might notice the streetlamp which actually includes a pose for 2, but since I’m single, I modded it out. It is from MotionLess Poses and is called “OldStreet”. It adds so much mood and atmosphere to my pics.

My gorgeous Promenade dress is from Geometry, which is mesh and the flower detail is separate so you can wear it or not, depending on your mood. My jeweley is the Beatrice Necklace Set from Maxi Gossamer, which is also mesh and has different color options, 4 pearl colors and gold or silver metal. You can see a better view of it below.

The skin I am wearing is Moira from {.essences.} in the Rose tone, which comes with a few tattoo layers of blush and eyeliner options. You can also get make-up layers in 60′s Twiggy style. The pose I used here is from STATUS, as is from the Explorer set of poses. There are a few different packs there, you should definitely check them out.

Vintage Fair 2012Preview: A Red Bombshell

Vintage Fair 2012 is about to open, so I have another look for you before you try to break in! To show it off, I also used a built pose prop room from Sparrowtree Studio Poses, which has a matching couple pose available, but since I am winging it single, I didn’t need it. Instead I used a couple of new ones from Di’s Opera which you can pick up at the fair as well. One was from the Rockabilly pose set, and the other from the Hairspray set. The red Bombshell dress is by Sassy! and I think it lives up to it’s name. It comes with the long white gloves, as well as a black pair.I should also mention that the skirt panel is mesh.

My skin is from {.essences.}, which is a brand I am really growing to love. They come out with lovely skins all the time, like Indy which I am wearing in RosyPale. It has a nude lip, so I added one of the lip tattoos made for the skin in red tone similar to the dress. My jewelry is from +:+WTG+:+, a brand that I hadn’t heard of before this event, but it impressed me with the mesh earrings and necklace. The center stone is color-change and there is an easy to use menu to resize any piece.

Vintage Fair 2012 Preview: Looking In

I have another new look going on today from The Vintage Fair, and since it’s opening in a few days (Saturday, August 4, 2012) I thought it would be okay to tease you all a little more. I’m wearing new items from head to toe – so let’s get started!

My hair is from Pomme d’Amour, it’s called POLKA and is in a chocolate color. It’s not mesh, but it is resizable, so that’s always handy. I’m wearing a new skin, it’s from Heartsick and called Jaci. I love the bright red lips and winged black eye-liner!

My dress is from DCNY, a very current brand – but hello, I love this 60′s mod-style mini dress with collar. It reminds me of something Twiggy wore back in the day. If you’re going to go look for it, it’s called the Pop Collar dress. If you look closely at the first pic, I’ve got on some black leather kitten heels from ChaChaDee. It’s my first time wearing anything from them, but I was really happy to see how well made they are. They are called 1950s Heels, but I think they work with this pseudo 60′s vibe.

My pose prop, Though the Keyhole, is also available at the fair, it’s by HopScotch and it’s only one of the props and poses they will be showing. There are 7 poses built into the keyhole prop and you can adjust the position of them to fit your height. I’m on the short-side and they seemed to work pretty well for me.

Hair Fair 2012: 2 By Lamb

Hair Fair 2012 is flying by so fast! It’s been nearly a week since my last post so I must show you 2 mesh hairs that I got from lamb, which I absolutely adore. The hair shown above is called Wild at Heart, and I am wearing it in a color called Unicorn. This is from the Macaron color pack, in case you also want a less traditional shade of hair.

I got a second style in the same Macaron color pack; this one is called In Heaven and I’m wearing the Koolaid color. It kind of does remind me of grape Kool-aid which I loved as a kid for some reason. Besides these two styles, there are 2 more women’s hair and one men’s, which could be unisex as well. Lovely Light

I was lucky enough to get a couple new items from E! Eclectic Apparel and decided to put a twist on a summer look with them. I sort of went for an European, romantic feel with the styling as well as the lighting. The Bronte Top and Darla Blazer are both mesh items, but they layer well with each other while wearing the same size for both (xs). The blazer is cut a little bigger to fit over the top it seems, so I was really happy not to have to try to see which size fit over the top.

I’m also wearing a new pair of shoes, these are from Ingenue and are available at this round of Collabor88 that opened just a couple days ago. The two-toned color choices range from classy to sassy. I love wedges, so these are my new faves! Each pair is only L$ 88 so there is no reason not to get a pair.

Love CHIC²

Hello all, I’ve got my third post about CHIC², which includes the dress and skin I’m wearing, as well as all the items you see behind me. I was happy to be introduced to a new furniture brand by visiting this awesome event – POST made a whole collection of furniture and decor called “Haarlem”. It give that vintage vibe, while still being modern enough to fit in with different decorating styles. I showed only a few of the items included, but you should check out the display in their cube to see everything.

My dress is by =Zenith= and while I’m wearing it here in beige, it comes in a collection of colors. It is mesh and the belt is separate, so you can resize it to fit you how you like best. I found my normal XS size a little small, so I went up a size with it. You should always try a demo with mesh clothing because every creator does it a bit differently.

With this picture you can see the print of the dress better, as well as my skin. I’m wearing a skin called Rachel by *YS&YS*, which is a brand I have worn occasionally in the past, but this skin in the Sky make-up really suit me and my mood. I feel both pretty and a bit mysterious in it. There are also other skins by this brand, so try all the demos and choose the one that suits you best. A big bonus is that you also can use the shape that was created for this skin, so if you want to look just like the promo pictures – you can!
