I just heard about this and thought some of you might not know about it, so from the official press release:
“September 14, 2009 - Modavia Fashion Marketing announced plans for the next Designer Wardrobe Giveaway to coincide with the Modavia Fashion Week event, September 10-17. The Giveaway is a regular monthly drawing that rewards one lucky subscriber to the Modavia Fashion Directory with a free designer wardrobe containing up to 45 couture outfits.
During the course of Fashion Week subscribers will be invited to visit Bryant Park, the venue for Modavia Fashion Week, and enter the drawing. Two winners will be announced immediately after the final show which will take place at 4pm on the 17th September. A total of 90 designs from 40 of the top couturiers in Second Life will be given away together with all the artwork contained in the last 2 editions of the Directory, that is, the 10th and 11th edition.
To avoid congestion on the sim winners will not be required to be present at the drawing but will be required to make themselves available for photographs within a week of the prize being awarded. Anyone can enter the Giveaway drawing providing they are current subscribers to the Modavia Fashion Directory. This contest is not open to staff, models, clients, sponsors or suppliers of Modavia. There are kiosks for signup located at many fashion retailers throughout Second Life, at the Modavia Headquaters and at Bryant Park during Fashion Week.”
Here’s your ride to Bryant Park so you can check out the set up and enter the contest! And, FYI, there are still shows today, tomorrow and Thursday so make a note of the schedule while you’re there.
I’ve done a number of posts on items from Seldom Blue by IndigoBlue Dagostino in the past and have always been surprised by her range in style. I was therefore naturally happy to hear that the store would be having it’s very first fashion show presented by Ewing Fashion Agency this weekend on Sunday, August 16 at 12PM SLT. I was also saddened because I knew I wouldn’t be able to make it having made previous plans in real life. Luckily for me, IndigoBlue very graciously gave me this dress to show you all. Don’t be jealous, IndigoBlue and the Seldom Blue brand are consistently generous, this dress can also be yours for free, if you attend the show on Sunday! I hear there might also be a few other goodies for those who are able to make it.
I absolutely adore this dress, from the color and the print, to the cut and the character of it. It’s called the Sylvia Silk Dress and I don’t know who Sylvia is, but she’s one lucky lady to have this beauty named after her. I would have paid a pretty amount for this dress so I hope I have done it some amount of justice here.
Curious about what you might see at the show? Well here’s some more info from the official press release: “The Seldom Blue Fashion show will involve a variety of different designs from their collection which will include new releases, followed by the bridal collection. You will have a chance to have a peek at the fabulous new sexy lingerie and premiere release gowns.”
You can find more info about the show and the Seldom Blue brand on their blog.

Happy Saturday everyone! With little time left for the Clothing Fair 2009 to benefit RFL (Relay For Life) I made another little post over at the Timeless Agency blog about the Valerie dress from PB Collection – Ardigraf Design Group. So much to see and so little time left… see you later!
Today marks the beginning of the Clothing Fair 2009 which benefits Relay For Life. There will be four fashion shows over this week with the first taking place this afternoon at 3 PM SLT.
To make it easy for you, here is a ride to the show. See you there!
A few hours ago I posted another one of the items to be featured at the Clothing Fair 2009, which benefits the RFL (Relay For Life) on the Timeless Agency blog. Also, it serves as a reminder that the fair begins tomorrow, so you should make sure you have plenty of L$ to spend. Want to see everything the Edwardian Blossom Gown has to offer? Go check out the full post!
This is a smaller, cropped, version of the picture from the Timeless blog, for the Adaire Corset by EBT which will be part of the Clothing Fair 2009. As I mentioned yesterday, the fair benefits RFL (Relay For Life) and that is something really close to my heart. I encourage everyone to participate and get involved! The clothing fair runs from March 16 through to March 22, 2009. There will be 4 fashion shows between those days, with times to accomodate everyone. Hope to see you there
This year the clothing fair to benefit RFL (Relay For Life) will be bigger than ever, spanning over 9 sims. A major event of the clothing fair is the hugely popular fashion show. This year the fashion show will be presented by the Timeless Agency, which has posted a press release on their blog explaining how they’ll be involved in this very important occasion. You can find all the dates and times of the shows over there. The bloggers (including myself) will be showing off each one of the featured outfits. I posted my first outfit, the Jive II dress by Apple May Designs, with one of the pictures above. One of the great things about the Timeless blog is that many of the bloggers write in English and a second language; and recently I’ve joined them by adding a paragraph in French to my posts.
I really hope that as many people as possible can come together whatever their differences to support a cause that means a lot to so many people. The clothing fair starts March 16, 2009 so mark it on your calendars.
La robe décrite ici, Jive II de Apple May Designs, va faire partie d’exposition d’habillement pour bénéficier le RFL (Relay For Life) qui commence le 16 mars 2009. Pour plus d’infos, employez ce lien.
Talk about SL™ being influenced by real life, Friday, February 13, 2009 kicks off RUNWAY’s fashion week (which will actually span 8 days)! From the official press release; ” This week of fashion shows will feature a broad range of fashion designers including couture, formal, casual, swimwear and more. Shows will begin on February 13 and run through February 20. A total of 35 designers will be represented in Fashion Week 2009 in 4 to 5 shows daily, beginning at 1 pm PST at RUNWAYs main sim, Bryant Park, in Second Life. In addition to the fashion shows, many of the participating designers will have on-site boutiques, offering designs seen in their shows and there will be gifts offered to attendees by many of the designers.”
The list of events is outstanding, and I encourage you to take a look at the show schedule over on RUNWAY Magazine’s website. There are a number of shows I personally will be trying to make it to, I think this event will be especially great for those who’ve never really attended a fashion event before.
The events are being held at Bryant Park, which I hear has a great set-up. I can’t wait to see it!
