Well I’m back from my RL vacation and have been catching up on the things I missed while I was away.  However I’ve not been feeling the greatest so it’s taking longer than expected. In any case here are a couple of cool things that came out in the recent past that I think you should know about.

The first is this uber cute and comfy sweater from KHUSH. Liess Paine makes some awesome gear, so if you haven’t been to the store yet you need to go check it out. While you are there, you can grab up this special Christmas version of the Siena sweater absolutely free under the Christmas tree in the back. There’s also a couple of other free gifts to help you dress in style this holiday season.

Also a special holiday gift is this skin from Aimesi by Mea Carnell. In this case you need to be a member of the store to get this gift, but everyone is welcomed to join and grab it up. It also comes with another makeup with festive purple-ish eyeshadow and sparkly decorations. You get this tone and also a darker, suntanned, tone.

I also have been introduced to a new store for poses, Slash Me Poses by Claire Dallin. This pose is called crisscrosses and will only set you back by L$ 50, but you can also buy packs of poses for less than they would cost individually.

I have maybe 3 consistent readers of my blog, but I thought that they might be interested to know (and maybe someone else out there in the blog-o-sphere) that I am not shutting down my blog! I will be blogging again, but right now my real life job is keeping me very busy, the beautiful weather, as well as my in-world work and trying to get some amount of sleep. I am going to try to make an effort to post once every couple of weeks but I can’t guarantee any amount of regularity.

If you send me review items, please be aware that they might not get blogged, especially if it’s something time sensitive.

Yet another new release here from Kungler’s Design with Vivian, Noena’s seemingly more refined sister.

This dress seems to be classic from the front, but turn it around and you have a uniquely cut back with highlights one of the most beautiful parts of a women’s body. There is a sequin band that cuts the dress in an empire fashion. Again this dress is available in three colors; green, grape and gold. With each dress comes a matching nail polish on the glove layer as well.

The top part of the dress has a feathery, paisley-like pattern to it, tinted to match each skirt. The skirt has a very thin monochromatic pinstripe to it. Each color of the dress is going for L$ 249. Considering how much clothing prices seem to be going up in SL™, Kungler’s continuously provides affordable options for those on a budget.

Crimson Shadow by Tox1c Chemistry commissioned some skins from Draconic Lioncourt, and was kind enough to let me have a peek at the Tone 03 collection. The palest skins are only a touch darker than pure white, so if you are very much into the gothic look, fear not! I have a sample of the makeup available here, which are available on all the tones.

They all have pretty names, such as (L to R, top to bottom): Glamour Goth, Wild, Pink, Bloody Mary.

I really love this tone and the overall flawless look of the skin. The shading and highlights are light and don’t distract the eye. The eyebrows (if you look up =p) are on the thin side, but personally, I prefer thin eyebrows, especially with heavier makeup. My most favorite makeup was Glamour Goth, red lips + glam eye makeup = winning choice every time in my books. Each skin is L$ 1000, and there are demos in the store.

I am officially 2 years old today!

And with that comes a new birth, as you may have noticed this blog is taking a more humorous and fun turn, although there are some other changes in store. I’ll also be doing some more personal pieces in future, along with the blind items, product reviews, fashion finds and so on; I’ll be starting pieces about issues in the fashion and modeling world, such as: people who cheat to win contests, the morality of the fashion world, morality versus consumerism, and other things are on the to do list.

Over the last 2 years, and about 23 months the blog has been up, I’ve learned a lot, experienced a lot and made some big mistakes as well as accomplishments. I have realized, especially with the rising number of readers, that I have a voice and that I can’t be afraid to use it. There once was a time when I cared what strangers or other bloggers or designers thought of me and my opinion. Truthfully, this led me to hold back and bite my tongue on some occasions. Thankfully, I finally have some real inspirational people in my slife, as well as great friends and amazing parents.

So, I’m celebrating today in my own way and looking forward to the rest of my slife!

Running through my mind…ew, sounds like a bad country song there. Ignore that bit. So, I was reading some of my favorite RL celebrity gossip sites today and came upon “blind items” which is basically a bit of gossip without a name attached. People guess who it is but the answer seems not to be revealed directly by the author at any time. I was thinking it would be fun to do some SL™ blind items. Anything from crazy quotes, drama llama gossip, catching someone in a compromising position…I dunno. Something to be a wee bit different and break up the monotony of the SL™ feeds. I don’t know how my readers feel about that, so post a comment here or let me know by IM in-world.

I’ll post an example for anyone unfamiliar (and this is totally made up):

“This slebrity has been seen hanging around with her known arch nemesis, is some sort of reconciliation in the works?”

If you read this blog semi regularly, you’ll have noticed that I’ve blogged quite a few items from Seldom Blue by IndigoBlue Dagostino. She let me know that her Sensations Gown in deep pink is on sale until June 22 for only L$ 50! It comes with several wearing options as usual, the top is on all 3 layers and the glitch pants on both pants and underpants. It also comes with 3 accessories: a sheer wrap, a choker and a neck scarf, and this in addition to the several styles of the skirt available.

I’ve modeled all the options, starting with the wrap and both layers of the floor-length skirt. The opera-length gloves make it perfect for a formal occasion, or you can do something like this…

With the choker and the fishtail skirt, you get a different look, something that verges on the exotic – perhaps a bit of a Spanish influence there. The detail on all pieces is quite beautiful and exact.

You can see that the attention to detail includes the sequins that hang off the edge of the neck scarf; and I really like that touch of realism to it. The shading under the bust area is also very nice, and it shows an improvement from the earlier items.

The final verdict? You’d be crazy not to pick this up!

Where has that Kalia hussy been lately? Well since like 3 people are curious, I’ll tell you a little about it. I have been in the real world! It’s this huge sim-like place but without teleporting or flying options.

Seriously though, I haven’t been in-world very much lately and have been a wee bit lax on my blogging as well. If you see me sometime, give me a shout, I don’t bite much! I checked out that deal at Truth yesterday and picked up a few hair styles and a dress that was adorable. I have been taking some wacko pics as well, and styling myself for them. I’ll post one here to show you:
