I don’t wear many formal dresses – I never get invited anywhere were I would need one! However, sometimes I do like to play dress-up for myself and put on a pretty frock. Just the other day Sascha’s Designs came out with this new gown called Essence, and when I saw the collar on it, I knew I would have to try it on and go for a walk-a-bout.

I’m not sure how to describe it exactly, classic meets modern, meets fantasy? In any case, I enjoy a strong statement in my look and this certainly delivers it.

I’ve been having trouble taking pictures lately so I had my friend Sommer take this one for me, but the viewers were giving her a hard time as well. In any case, I wanted to wear my new Tiffany dress from Kunglers and have had it on for a couple of days now. It comes in a bunch of colors, but since purple is my new favorite color I chose the grape version. I also decided to wear my snazzy new boots from Gos which I adore and the socks change color which always makes me happy.

Also, I wanted to wish everyone a HAPPY NEW YEAR (and healthy!)

I got this Maitreya mesh dress from my little sister as part of my Christmas present, so I had to do a little post with it. I’ve also learned people don’t really care about reading blog posts anymore, which is good because I’ve got less time than I used to. It’s been 2 weeks since my last post but I’ve been meaning to get something up for a while. Here I have a casual colder weather look (though you’d never survive winter wearing this in real life) to show. I used some new items and some older ones, but it all started with the very talked-about foxy stole from Ohmai which is out at the December round of Collabor88. For L$88 you get it in 3 colors and it’s so darling that I had to get it. It’s not real fur, it’s mean to look like faux fur, so let’s let that be that. I then threw on the recently released Stella Was A Diver hair from Shag because it has a great wind-blown look with color-change earmuffs – perfect to pair with my warm scarf and the rest of my outfit!

Winter is pretty much here, in my part of the real world. I’ve put together a quick post today using the beginning of winter as the theme, and using 2 items from the Peace On Earth Hunt 4. The first is this fun, pom-pom trimmed poncho from DCNY! I love a good poncho, and this one comes with a convenient alpha layer and is able to be modded so you’ll be able to wear it, no matter your size.

This brings us to the second hunt item, my skin from Rockberry! The winged eyeliner and deep red lips are very appropriate for the holiday season and comes in several tons with and without freckles. I’m wearing the Natural tone in the pictures, but they come from pale to dark.

As many of you probably have heard by now, there will be a huge “Black Friday” sale tomorrow where everything will be L$100 from such brands as: Armidi, The Body Co., Abyss, and the new brand being unveiled – The Boutique! There will be over 4000 items including clothing, shoes, accessories, hair and skin. I’ve decided to show 3 items from the new The Boutique line because I think most people are excited to see these new creations.

I’m wearing the Seam Detail Lambskin Jacket in black and the Crocodile Skirt with Belt in black, to have a sort neutral look overall. With my silver Zipper Detail Purse, the 2 neutral colors can work together and support a pop of color from the tank-top. I also like to mix the colors of metals or metallics, some say that you can’t but I think that’s pretty silly.

The latest mesh items from Celoe and Mon Tissue are all classic items that many women will want to have in their wardrobe: turtleneck sweaters, satin camisoles, comfortable leather boots… and then there are the two items that I decided to show you. I’m wearing the lyn cardigan and lolong trousers from Celoe (which is currently in a temporary location until next month). Pairing two neutrals with more colorful accessories lets each piece work together and yet makes it easy to concentrate on one at a time. Celoe uses the new standard avatar sizing so it’s easy to find the one that will fit you, I only needed to make a small adjustment to my chest in order to have it look perfect!

I love vintage -inspired clothes. So many styles to choose from and often they are very feminine and refined. My latest look really showcases that, with the VINTAGE LADY dress from Shiki. It comes in 4 color variations of the flower print (if I remember correctly) with a chiffon-like gathered top and straight knee length skirt. I feel like I should be meeting the girls for tea in this dress, especially when paired with my huge hat.

You will get noticed a mile away in a hat like the one I’m wearing. It’s the Miss Rose hat from BaObA and comes in several different colors. I thought the bright purple would bring out the lavender in the dress – hopefully it worked! In this shot, you may also notice the skin I’m wearing…it’s the new line from IREN and it’s called Jessy. I am a huge fan of red lips, so this suited me particularly well.

Just look at at us! Sommer (on the right) and I decided that we would do another post together, this time using items from the Vintage Fair.

I started off this look with my hair, which is from Ploom and is called Mimi. It comes in all the usual color packs, but it’s one of the brands to use a HUD to control the color of it which I really appreciate because that often saves space in your inventory. Then I remembered that Curio had this new skin out called Vintage, and of course thought it would be appropriate. It comes with a tattoo of a drawn-on eyebrow – which is very 1920′s if I remember correctly. You can’t see them in this shot, but my eyes are a free fair gift from ROZENA, a beautiful sparkling brown pair which you would would be silly not to get. The stunning and most noticeable item I’m wearing is my dress. It’s the trapeze dress from DCNY and it’s in my favorite color – pink!
