Goodbye Spring & je suis… for Accessory Fair 2011

Spring is coming to an end, so I thought I’d do a look with jeans and a summery top to lead us into the new season. The jeans I am wearing are from Seldom Blue and are part of their brand new range of jeans. The Jemima Jeans have a worn-in look, diamond crosses on the pockets, come in a variety of colors and include the optional sculpted prim cuffs. Versions sold with a prim belt are L$ 250, and un-belted versions are L$ 200. I am wearing the special offer pair which are only L$ 1 which you can find in the new releases room, on the side wall (not on the racks).

You may also notice that I am wearing some very pretty scarab earrings and the matching necklace. These pieces are from je suis… and is exclusive to the Accessory Fair 2011. It costs L$ 199 for the set, with 100% of the profits going to the Relay For Life. Each piece contains scripts for resizing but these can be deleted once you have the perfect fit (make a copy first!) The theme of this year’s fair is “Ancient Egypt” so the build is interesting and fun to explore – go check it out!

Nearly Exposing It All

I don’t usually show that much skin with my posts, but today I thought I’d break out of the norm and bare a little more today. My first picture shows the Sienna Gown by Seldom Blue which is being offered for L$ 300 as an introductory offer, which is 50% off. You get the bodysuit on all layers, the hip ruffle and open side-skirt as I’ve shown, but also a long flexi prim skirt.

This second outfit is also from Seldom Blue’s Sienna Gown line, but is a special dollarbie offer – that’s right, only L$ 1! You get the bodysuit on all layers and the hip ruffle. The black and silver make the bodysuit very versatile for mixing and matching. I found I didn’t need a lot of accessories because of the pattern so just simple earrings and my favorite Bax Coen Designs’ BAX Ankle Boots in the new metallic silver color complete the looks!

Romana Dollarbie by Seldom Blue

Seldom Blue is a brand that is now quite established in Second Life©. They recently opened up a new satellite store at Oceane Island and for the occasion decide to put out this lingerie set called Romana for L$ 1. The set consists of the bra top (with and without arm bands, and undies on all layers as well as the prim arm ruffles and the flouncy train on the back. All the pearl details on the set are hand-drawn and you can tell that it took a lot of effort, making this dollarbie especially generous. This is a permanent special item for the new location, so make sure to check it out!

By the way, when you arrive at the landing point, you will be outside Oceane’s main-store, just go to the right hand side of the steps, and there at the bottom you should find Seldom Blue.

Evangeline Gown Release and Promotion

Established brand Seldom Blue by IndigoBlue Dagostino is once again releasing a beautiful gown onto the grid today – Evangeline. It’s described as “exquisite and totally indulgent, with a gorgeous soft textured top bodice with a high amount of detailing. The system skirt is asymetrical, very short and will skim your thighs with a delicious transparency. The short prim skirt is full of frill and vibrancy and is perfect for parties. We have also created not one but two incredibly beautiful long formal skirts, the first with a delicate lace pattern on the upper layer, and the second skirt comprises of multiple simple layers of silk. Both are finished with a bow at the back, and this is all accented with beautiful soft prim frills, one on each shoulder, and also at the waist.” The first picture shows the short prim skirt, perfect for hitting your favorite dance spot.

This second picture shows the waist ruffles and the full formal skirt in lace. What I like about this line is that the ruffles aren’t the same color as the dress, sometimes they’re in a darker shade but they don’t match 100% and that makes it more visually interesting. It comes in 7 colors, you can buy the fatpack with all the options for L$ 750, or you can buy one version for L$ 375.

And to motivate you to check out the new release, the store is offering this version of the Evangeline gown in a gold bandage style with sheer parted skirt for L$ 100. You can also pick up the matching butterfly and feather headpiece by Singsong Writer of Eternity Jewels by Seldom Blue for $1L! I’m loving it, and still wearing it…I may not take it off.

Actually it works quite well with this hair from Exile by Kavar Cleanslate. It’s called Amelia and was released a few days ago. The hair is sold in color packs of 6 for L$ 225, or the pack of all 30 colors for L$ 1000.

Slither Into This

Slither Into This

There is something about snakeskin, and animal prints in general, that brings out the hedonistic side of me. I’ve had this love affair with these naturally exotic patterns for as long as I can remember. In any case, I jumped at the chance to show one of the latest gowns from Seldom Blue by IndigoBlue Dagostino, called the Mia Dress. Due to time constraints, I’m showing you one way of wearing it, but it comes with the top (on all layers) short and long glitch pants (on both layers), short and long system skirts, the long prim skirt and a shorter, flouncy, prim skirt. There are numerous ways to combine the pieces for L$ 465, and if snakeskin isn’t your thing there is also: cheetah, tiger, snow leopard and crocodile. As always, there are special versions of this dress on promotion, one red floral version with a big bustle skirt option for L$ 1oo, and a L$ 1 special dress in a blue floral with a short, frilly prim skirt.

Slither Into This

By the way, the clutch is from IndigoBlue’s partner in crime, Singsong Writer of Eternity Silks. The clutch bag is L$150 and comes in the same prints as the Mia Dress range. The ad shows the details of the bag, which I find to be the perfect size and shape for everyday use, not just being matched with the dress.

My pose is one of the upcoming releases from Glitterati by Katey Coppola. Right now there is sale going on at the store to celebrate their expansion and purchase of a sim. All poses are L$ 100, pose packs are L$ 100 and fatpacks are discounted by 50% or less of the sale price. A lot of the stock is going to be retired, so you have just a few short weeks to get the ones you want before they disappear…

Sexy Seldom Blue at SXY2ND

Sexy Seldom Blue at SXY2ND

IndigoBlue Dagostino of Seldom Blue alerted me to the fact that the SXY2ND sim has recently been taken over by new management and will not be closing. To celebrate this fact, her store location on that sim has 2 special offers which are only available at that satellite store – not the mainstore location.

I’m wearing the Evangeline gown which is currently on promotion for L$ 1oo, but don’t be fooled by this picture, you get more than this one variation, in fact you get everything you see in the ad below:

Sexy Seldom Blue at SXY2ND

That is at least 3 looks you can put together, more if you remove the frilly arm pieces. I was in a SXY mood today, so I chose to wear the more revealing version. However, I did match it with a more modest post courtesy of Glitterati, which is offering a set of 10 poses for free in honor of October being breast cancer awareness month (there’s also the option to make a donation to the cause). Pink is also the trademark color of breast cancer awareness, so it made perfect sense to pair the two.

But that’s not all folks! Oh no, if you know Seldom Blue, you know that they regularly offer great L$ 1 deals, and this is no exception. This time around you get the mini-dress version in a gorgeous blue shade as seen here:

Both promotional offers will only be available for a limited time, so make sure to run over as soon as possible to get yours!

And in case you’re interested, the SXY2ND sim is opening a new nightclub tomorrow (October 3, 2009) and I hear there will be lots of goodies from designers with shops located there, so go check it out and have a great weekend everyone!

Wedding Season Isn’t Over Yet!

I love a good wedding, in real life or Second Life©, it really doesn’t matter. The whole excitement of the event is great, but I’m very traditional in a sense, that the bride’s dress is one of the things I most look forward to seeing (and you know, getting loaded on free champagne). I think it’s great that more and more designers are taking wedding attire seriously, and so I was over the moon to see the newest bridal collection from Eternity Brides by Seldom Blue by IndigoBlue Dagostino, Singsong Writer and Covenant Laval.

Wedding Season Isn't Over Yet!

This year the Florence Bridal Collection is selling for L$ 1300 which is L$ 200 less than last year’s collection. It’s described by the designers as featuring, ” a delicate lace bodice with sheer see through panels, emblazoned with tiny rose petals. The luscious full skirt comes with a rich opaque silk, layered with a shimmering see through scalloped lace.” It also is versatile enough to use after the wedding…but you can also purchase a full wedding night lingerie set for L$ 395 if you rather go that way. Also, there is a demo of the wedding dress available for L$ 1 which is great because not all wedding dresses (or clothing in general) suits every avatar and a demo is great way to find out before you spend the big bucks. I wish more designers would offer clothing demos.

Wedding Season Isn't Over Yet!

By the way, there are also 2 special offers in the bridal store right now  – once again something special for L$ 100 and one for L$ 1! This cute dress ensemble could be worn in so many ways and for many occasions so for L$ 1oo it really is quite the steal.

Wedding Season Isn't Over Yet!

Speaking of steals, not only is L$ 1 an awesome price for anything, but this lingerie set is just as beautifully detailed as everything else in the store, so go on and pick it up!

All of the bridal items can be found upstairs, the staircase is at the rear of the mall, and the offers are in the main bridal gown room upstairs,  straight ahead, on the wall by the ”FLORENCE’ sign. I hope that helps avoid any confusion :)

Personal note: Lately my RL has been quite busy and my scheduling is all over the place. Because of this I want to stress that any items sent to me for review are appreciated, but I cannot guarantee I will have time to blog them. If you send along your own pictures, this makes Kalia a happy girl, as it saves me quite some time although I do inspect the items in world. Thanks for your understanding and my apologies.

(Nearly) Free Francesca and Friends

If you read my posts occasionally, you might have seen one about Seldom Blue’s new range of items and very first fashion show a couple of weeks ago.  After a successful production, IndigoBlue Dagostino, the designer behind the formal line, let me know she was ready to debut the first release tomorrow, “The Francesca Satin Dress”. Pictured above in the black and red versions, the dress will be available in seven colors, and comes with two short and a long skirt version for L$ 465.

(Nearly) Free Francesca and Friends

As a very special promotion, you’ll be able to get your hands on two special versions of the dress. The first is a special mutli-color version of the dress, available for L$ 100.

(Nearly) Free Francesca and Friends

The second will cost you only 1 Linden, and is the green version with the short, babydoll skirt. Both of these specials will only be available for a limited time, so if you want to pick them up, hurry over to Seldom Blue tomorrow night (August 26) and get yours!

You Can’t Be Blue In Seldom Blue

You Can't Be Blue In Seldom Blue

I’ve done a number of posts on items from Seldom Blue by IndigoBlue Dagostino in the past and have always been surprised by her range in style. I was therefore naturally happy to hear that the store would be having it’s very first fashion show presented by Ewing Fashion Agency this weekend on Sunday, August 16 at 12PM SLT. I was also saddened because I knew I wouldn’t be able to make it having made previous plans in real life. Luckily for me, IndigoBlue very graciously gave me this dress to show you all. Don’t be jealous, IndigoBlue and the Seldom Blue brand are consistently generous, this dress can also be yours for free, if you attend the show on Sunday! I hear there might also be a few other goodies for those who are able to make it.

I absolutely adore this dress, from the color and the print, to the cut and the character of it. It’s called the Sylvia Silk Dress and I don’t know who Sylvia is, but she’s one lucky lady to have this beauty named after her. I would have paid a pretty amount for this dress so I hope I have done it some amount of justice here.

Curious about what you might see at the show? Well here’s some more info from the official press release: “The Seldom Blue Fashion show will involve a variety of different designs from their collection which will include new releases,  followed by the bridal collection. You will have a chance to have a peek at the fabulous new sexy lingerie and premiere release gowns.”

You can find more info about the show and the Seldom Blue brand on their blog.

Latex Lucy

Latex Lucy

I’ve gotten a number of items from Seldom Blue by IndigoBlue Dagostino. This is the first time I took a look at their new latex outfit called “Latex Lucy” even though there is a special freebie version that I had skimmed across reading some other fashion blogs.  Appropriate for the occasion, I also took a field trip to somewhere new for the photos – The Castle of Dark Desires. Now admittedly, there was a lot to see there, but seeing how I was just there to take a couple of pictures I snapped and then ran home to write this up for you.

The first picture has pieces in the metallic blush color from the fatpack. In the fat pack there is the corset top, the bra top, shorts, and thong on all layers and in both opaque and sheer (opaque is worn by me). There is a short and long skirt option (although you should wear the short one with the long one for the best effect) and a pair of opaque pants on both underpants and pants layers. If I counted right, that’s 22 items as well as the prim skirts. Metallic blush was my favorite color but you can also use latex to mix with fashion items to create a unique look, so I also asked to see the set in charcoal.

Latex Lucy

With a little less shine on the charcoal pieces, you could use the tops for layering with jackets or camisoles. The short skirt could be paired with a sparkly top and used for clubbing or something like that. Here I presented the set in a more traditional way for latex to be used but there certainly are options. Each fatpack comes with all the pieces I mentioned for L$ 1695. You might also want to check in for the outfit that was on special to try out some limited options before dropping the big bucks.
