Las Islas Republic Opening Event!

Las ISlas Republic Opening Event!

What a busy weekend this probably is for many people! Still, I had to blog this fun event being presented by FACES Agency. The event is tomorrow, February 14, 2009 and begins at 12 PM SLT. Several things will be going on, such as introductions to the sims, a Koinup presentation and some rockin’ parties. There will be two parts to it, as I understand it, the first part is a club party with bathing suits as the expected attire (12-2 PM) and the end being a ball where you can show up in your fanciest dresses (2-4 PM). Both parts are being DJ’d by Azufr3 Catteneo. And there’s gifts – everyone loves gifts! Can’t afford something for your lady for Valentine’s Day? Take her to the ball and have her grab a free gift! Throughout the event, there will be some lovely hosts courtesy of FACES, to help guide you along the way.

Interested? Then take a ride with me and check it out.

RUNWAY Fashion Week

RUNWAY Fashion Week

Talk about SL™ being influenced by real life, Friday, February 13, 2009 kicks off RUNWAY’s fashion week (which will actually span 8 days)! From the official press release; ” This week of fashion shows will feature a broad range of fashion designers including couture, formal, casual, swimwear and more.  Shows will begin on February 13 and run through February 20.  A total of 35 designers will be represented in Fashion Week 2009 in 4 to 5 shows daily, beginning at 1 pm PST at RUNWAYs main sim, Bryant Park, in Second Life. In addition to the fashion shows, many of the participating designers will have on-site boutiques, offering designs seen in their shows and there will be gifts offered to attendees by many of the designers.”

The list of events is outstanding, and I encourage you to take a look at the show schedule over on RUNWAY Magazine’s website. There are a number of shows I personally will be trying to make it to, I think this event will be especially great for those who’ve never really attended a fashion event before.

The events are being held at Bryant Park, which I hear has a great set-up. I can’t wait to see it!

Rollin’ the Dice

Rollin' the Dice

I’ve been friends with Dice Beattie of Roll The Dice (and also his more avant-garde shop, Beats by Dice Beattie) for some time now…but I don’t think I’ve ever dedicated a post to him. So, with some new items coming into his store shortly, I’ll give you guys a preview of what’s to come.

You’ll notice that in all pictures I’m wearing the Damask Tintable Jeans which are already in the store and cost L$ 120. The print is really unique, and I can dig anything tintable! The first picture features soon to be added, Minimalism Shades and the 1980 Tee. These 2 items are part of the new things to come, so keep your eyes peeled for them – or hop over to the shop and join the Subscribe-o-matic thingy to get updates on what’s going on at both of Dice’s stores.

The Dirty Deeds Tee is another item that will be added to the store shortly. Dice almost specializes in sayings t-shirts, I have a bunch of them and wear them when I’m just kicking around…Dice’s tees, it’s a good thing. Oh- and all the tees come on at least the shirt and jacket layers, which I find incredibly helpful.

The final item is the Hipster Sweater and it too is tintable – I love me some tintable! Did I already mention that?  The prices of the new items will totally subject to Dice’s whims, but the current tees in store are L$ 90, and the collection of tie-dye shades (which I have and love) is L$ 120 for 4 pairs. I suspect the new items will be priced in a similar way.

And for those interested, these clothes are meant to be unisex – so guys and gals can get in there and shop (but don’t expect these new items yet, okay?)

So Excited!

Kungler’s Designs had their sim opening a little while ago, which featured a show presented by the Timeless Agency. Today I found out that the machinima produced of the new collection, “Seven Seas” is up on the Timeless Blog (and YouTube)! Shot by Serenity Mercier, this video highlights not only the new collection but also the sim that the Kungler ladies worked so very hard on.  I was so happy to be a part of this (in case you’re wondering, I was the one in the turquoise outfit)!

On that same blog post, you’ll find out some more about the “Seven Seas” collection and the Timeless Agency.
