There is something about snakeskin, and animal prints in general, that brings out the hedonistic side of me. I’ve had this love affair with these naturally exotic patterns for as long as I can remember. In any case, I jumped at the chance to show one of the latest gowns from Seldom Blue by IndigoBlue Dagostino, called the Mia Dress. Due to time constraints, I’m showing you one way of wearing it, but it comes with the top (on all layers) short and long glitch pants (on both layers), short and long system skirts, the long prim skirt and a shorter, flouncy, prim skirt. There are numerous ways to combine the pieces for L$ 465, and if snakeskin isn’t your thing there is also: cheetah, tiger, snow leopard and crocodile. As always, there are special versions of this dress on promotion, one red floral version with a big bustle skirt option for L$ 1oo, and a L$ 1 special dress in a blue floral with a short, frilly prim skirt.

By the way, the clutch is from IndigoBlue’s partner in crime, Singsong Writer of Eternity Silks. The clutch bag is L$150 and comes in the same prints as the Mia Dress range. The ad shows the details of the bag, which I find to be the perfect size and shape for everyday use, not just being matched with the dress.
My pose is one of the upcoming releases from Glitterati by Katey Coppola. Right now there is sale going on at the store to celebrate their expansion and purchase of a sim. All poses are L$ 100, pose packs are L$ 100 and fatpacks are discounted by 50% or less of the sale price. A lot of the stock is going to be retired, so you have just a few short weeks to get the ones you want before they disappear…

Skin fair is just days away, and with that in mind I bring you a preview of 3 new skins from GeEs Design by Gandalf Edman which will debut at the event. This post is picture heavy, so prepare yourself! I picked out one makeup from each of the lines to show you.

First we have the Tara America skin, in the Alabama make-up. I love the deep, rich, tone of the skin. The make-ups are all named after American states.

I especially like the details, like the shading of the bum!

I was surprised how well this skin suited me, the Tara America is officially my favourite of the three.
Please read on after the cut for more pictures and important details!

Oh my, I’m not feeling very creative with the title of my post it seems. Who can really blame me though? When you look this classy and put together, you end up staring at yourself in the mirror a lot and everything else seems not so very important.
Today’s blouse and skirt are both from Ingenue by Betty Doyle. I can never resist blogging anything from this store, but I especially have a weakness for versatile separates or items that can easily be mixed and matched. They make me happy in the skirt. *winks saucily* The top is called Stenno and is available in 10 colors for L$ 125 each or as a fatpack for L$ 900. It comes on all 3 top layers with prim collar and cuffs. The bottom of the shirt, which is hidden here, but trust me, is cut in a v-style so if you’re not wearing a more high-waisted skirt or pants, you’ll flash a slip of stomach. As long as you’re reasonably in shape, this shouldn’t be a problem. The skirt is called Secretary (get it, like a secretary who uses shorthand – a stenographer?) and also comes in 10 colors and is once again L$ 125 for one or L$ 900 for all ten.
I guess this is a short post this time around, but I have more stuff coming your way in the near future!

It’s been a few days since I’ve shown you what I’m wearing, so I hope you’re ready for another one!

I like to sometimes wander around, and many times it’s alone. So today I made friends with this guy and asked him to pose with me. After a little bribery (good thing I can fish) he finally agreed.

Moving on to the fashion, I’m wearing a new skin from a store that is completely new to me! This is the Claudia skin in the suntanned tone from Fior di Perle Skins & Shapes by Pearl Vollmar. These skins are only sold in singles packs, each single comes with 1 eyeshadow option, but 4 colors of lipstick. A facelight, lashes, shape and 3 brow bases are included for the price of L$ 990. I seem to favor dark eyeshadow and more natural lips recently, but there are plenty of makeup styles for you to check out in the store.

Here’s a closer look at two recently released accessories. First we have the Summer Straw Bag in blue from Dark Mouse by Mouse Mimistrobell. Inside the bag resides freshly picked sunflowers, a baguette, a bottle (of wine?) and other goodies. The bag is sold as a pack of four, including the red, black and gold versions for L$ 200. The shoes are the latest SlipOns from Kalnins by Maris Kanto. These sweet babies are scripted with eleven leather colors, shininess, glow, and resize for L$ 500.
Also, I used a pose for the pictures from {flowey} by Flutter Memel. I had heard of the store before, and had a freebie pose from some hunt from the store, but never really had a look before. The single poses run from L$ 30 – 40, and the sets vary depending on how many poses are included although the price is discounted from the full amount you’d pay if you bought each one separately. The poses are kind of quirky, which I really like, and have equally cute names. The poses are fun, the price is right, what’s not to like?

I just wanted to let everyone know about an interesting blog piece that Annie Paster did over on her blog, Cupcake’s Cookies and Cream. She asked a whole slew of SL residents how they would describe their personal style and what style means to them. I was happy to be asked and included, and if you read the responses, there are some really thought-provoking ones.
Another post will follow from me some time today with the “Look Of The Day”, but go read that answer session over at Annie’s blog!
Until later my pretties…

With several new releases over the last few days, I put together this look with some of my favorite new and older items. Starting at the top, I’m wearing the Cleopatra II hair from Simply Britnee by Britnee Hadlee. You get the full color pack of 36 for only L$ 200! No, that’s not a typo, it’s an incredible deal and all the packs of hair are priced similarly. Two other hairstyles, Cleopatra and Cleopatra III were released at the same time, so have a gander at those at well since demos are free.
My skin is the newest from Free Speerit by Desidelia Vella called Katherine. This is the original tone, but there is also a tan and pale version. Each of the 3 tones come in 8 versions of makeup, and cost L$ 995 for a single makeup, L$ 3590 for a pack of 4 skins, or L$ 5990 for all 8. The skins have a tintable beauty mark, hair base and eyebrow options. Each skin comes with a free shape, several versions of eyebrows, eyelashes 2 pubic hair options and facelight as well. Basically, you’re getting a whole whack of stuff when you buy a skin here. I love the smokey eyes and pink lips of the Desire makeup. It’s classy and glamorous enough to match with a variety of outfits, like the vintage dress I’m wearing.
I’ve been a long-time fan of Ingenue by Betty Doyle and have many items that I’ve acquired over the years. The latest release is this dress called Gene which comes in four colors: The Blues (shown), Emerald, Red Hots and Noir; each will set you back only L$ 250. I love all of the colors, but since the blue was so fresh and airy, like how I’m feeling today, I decided that I would go in this direction. It also complimented the pink of the lipstick nicely, so I was very happy with how this turned out.
Well darlings, it’s time for me to flutter off and catch a film…I’m thinking of a Marilyn Monroe gem, like “Gentlemen Prefer Blondes”. Oh heck, I knew I should have gone to the salon first!

Halloween is almost upon now – just a few days away! While I’ll probably spend the night chowing on candy apples, popcorn and watching horror movies in my real life, in Second Life© you can have several costumes, do a variety of activities, eat tons of sweets without gaining a pound and…wait, you can do that every day in SL! Okay, well, the point is, today I’m kicking up my look in spirit of the spooky celebration. I’m wearing the new Bloody Tara skins from GeEs Design by Gandalf Edman.

The skins come in both of the tones shown here in one pack for L$ 500, but really you get several options because each comes with matte lips or glossy lips (and with or without pubic hair for each). You can see the blood and scratches on the face, and the scar over the breast which gives this version it’s name. These skins are based off the regular line of skins called Tara, which all come with a facelight (the Bloody skins as well) and a no-mod fitting shape. Singles are regularly L$ 800 and the Bundle packs of 9 makeups in a skin tone is L$ 2499.
I suggest you go have a look at the store because are there are some really cute pale Pierrot skins as well, each for L$ 5oo or the Bundle pack of 9 for L$ 1750. At times I find clowns kind of creepy, but Pierrot’s are sweet and sort of melancholy – in a good way. Have a look and see what it’s all about!

There is something sort of retro and kitsch about a “lady who lunches”. Although, I’m the sort of lady who is on a budget these days, so my options for fine cuisine are limited. I’m stuck eating at the diner today, but that doesn’t mean I can’t look great doing it!

Wearing the latest Tweedy: The Tops and Iloa pants from SySy’s by SySy Chapman I’m comfortable, and yet still classy. These tops and pants come in 5 colors each, with the tops costing L$ 75 and the pants are going for L$ 125. Both are available in a fatpack as well. Blue and brown are such a sweet combination especially at this time of year, and work great with silver-toned accents. Oh look, I just happen to be wearing some!

I’m wearing the Divine Deco Earring and Bangle from Dark Mouse by Mouse Mimistrobell. The set comes with a bangle for both arms and the pair of earrings for L$ 100. The muted tones and simple design let the outfit shine but also ads a sort of framing to it. Although, I’m not the only person to see how well these pair together. While doing a run through of blogs, I saw that Shelby Rasmuson did the same thing! Great minds must think alike.
By the way, Bebae by Torie Senne has come out with a new skin line called Fabia and as usual, the group has received 3 skins from it. I’m wearing one of them, but the other two are equally as pretty. The group costs L$ 200 to join, but the quality of these skins makes it obviously worth it. In store, the new line comes in a new darker tone (coffee) for a total of 5 skintones with 10 makeups, freckles are included with each makeup and there’s also a cleavage option! Single skins will set you back L$ 1000 while the Galore Pack is a steal at L$ 6000.
So…who wants to join me for a blue plate special and maybe split a piece of pie?

I’m not really sure what inspired the look I went for today…maybe it was a combination of luck, fate and the search function. Whatever the reason or how it came together, it’s a look that I quite enjoy – exposed bum crack and all. Once again I’m wearing jeans from KHUSH, this time it’s a pair of super cute ripped up ones with the look of fishnets underneath. The outfit pretty much started from these, I have to admit. They come with or without the lace at the top, so 2 pairs in each color pack for L$ 125 L$ 150 (whoops!) or the fatpack of 6 colors for L$ 675.
I then decided to try out a new skin, the Elizabeth N2 line from Blowpop by Annyka Bekkers. Here I’m wearing Persia in tone C, but the skins come in 4 tones and there are 6 new makeups out. Each single skin comes with 2 lipstick options, 3 eyebrow shapers, and pubic hair on the underwear layer, these cost L$ 900. But you can also buy the value packs of 6 skins plus the set of shapes for L$ 3600. I generally wear only my own shape, so here’s Kalia in her new skin!

Here’s a close-up of the necklace, “Rock mah Skull” from the store *SiSSi* by Sissi String. I totally spaced and forgot to take one, so this was a quicky done chez moi and but I think you get the idea of what you can expect from it. It also comes with a male version of it, so you and your sweety can match if you’re into that kind of thing for just L$ 139.

Ever have one of those days where all you want to do is goof around and have fun? Today is one of those days for me. So I put together a look from some cute items in my inventory and headed out to the amusement park to play some games and cause some mischief.
I’m wearing some very low-rise jeans by KHUSH, and I only just heard of this brand but Liess Paine makes some risky jeans! These are a Halloween gift pair and they also come in a version with pumpkins all over for the holiday.

I took off the flares of the pants so you could get a look at the sweet knitted boots I’m wearing. These are the Warm Winter Boots in red from In Her Shoes – also a new brand to me. The boots, by Rachel Boram, come in 7 colors total, each are L$ 200 or you can get the fatpack for the discounted price of L$ 800. I love the Native American style details on these…and it makes them all that more appropriate for the season with Thanksgiving coming up for Americans. Demos are available for all items in the store and there is a great pair of shoes in the Midnight Mania board for everyone.

The last thing I wanted to tell you guys about is the jewelry set I’m wearing. It’s called Lena and this is the Fire set. It’s from DM Designs Jewelry by DarionMonkee Levitt. The autumnal colors match with my boots and jeans and so the outfit was born! The Lena set is L$ 400 and the necklace and bracelet are scripted to be resized. It comes in brown, turquoise and green as well, so head over and see which suits you.
Okay, now it’s time for me to run and throw some leaves around! Bye!
