Possibly, Plum.

Plum…it seems like such a benign color, but it was deceptive. I found it hard to find the right shade to match Luna’s 52 Weeks of Color blogger’s challenge for this week. So I tried to find some close to it, and others to compliment. I also wanted to show off a couple new items from je suis by Julia Merosi, because these aviator glasses I am wearing are exclusive to the location at the LE.LOOK sim for the month of November and there is only a couple days left until December! They can be yours for only L$ 250 and are pretty much entirely customizable. The scarf is also from je suis and it’s scripted to change color. I chose the plum option, but as you can see it’s a little different from Luna’s version of the color but it does look great with all the other tones. You can get it at the main-store, in one color pack for L$ 250 or all the colors for L$ 1000. It’s also resizable so you can wear it larger than I am, and have it come higher up over the chin which would look great with a winter coat.

Goldenrod, Goldish…Something

It’s week 3 of Luna Jubilee’s 52 Weeks of Color blogger’s challenge! This week’s color is goldenrod and I sort of dug around in my inventory, and I didn’t want to post the same items others had, so I finally came up with this look primarily made up of the gold catsuit from Jada Humby Couture, which is made to match the BAX Prestige boots I am wearing and so naturally I wore them together. To break it up, I added a black belt and gloves, and then the newest bangles from Je Suis by Julia Merosi. They’re color change, so I matched them to this outfit, but each one is customizable so there are tons of possible combinations. Color packs are L$ 150 or you can get all for L$ 700 (like the ones I am wearing). To top it all off, I tinted the bow in my hair red, to add a bit of pop.

Color Junkie

With all the “Color of the Week” posts up lately, I’ve begun to see my inventory in terms of color groups more than anything else. While I’ll get to my contribution to the weekly blogger’s challenge later this week, I put on a really cute outfit the other day and wanted to share it along with some new goodies – including the new Mila skin from LeLutka which I adore. I’m wearing the base skin, which allows me to wear make-up of my choosing with it. They come with 7 make-ups of their own for a total of 8 choices per skin-tone. This line has pale to dark skin-tones, so it is one that might please a lot of people.

The second is the Dion Shirt from fri.day, which is very much like a semi-sheer cotton shirt many of us have at home. It comes in 10 different colors (on all layers) for L$ 100 each, or grab them all for L$ 600! This shot shows the cute button detail near the neck, it also brings me to the another new item…makeup from [ J u n K i e ], which is currently found on the Second Life Marketplace.

I’m wearing the eyeshadow offered in Makeup Set 2, which is currently on promotion of L$ 250 for brightly colored shadows. There is another set also available on promotion as well. I tried closed-eye pictures for the first time, so hopefully they are okay to show off the options. HarajuKu Solo has seemed to put a lot of work into these 2 sets so I look forward to seeing more from her soon!

Week 2 – Blasting Out The Blue

It’s week 2 of Luna Jubliee’s 52 Weeks of Color blogger challenge, to make 1 post a week focused on one color. This week it’s blue, and I happened to have a good amount of items in my inventory ranging from robin’s egg to dark midnight. I decided to add the brown tights because I love the combination of blue and brown together, and with the brown being slightly muted, it helps the blue stand out even more.

52 Weeks of Color Challenge: Week 1 – Grey! (and Silver, Heehee)

Luna Jubilee came up with a great blogger challenge, posting once a week with a specific color as the focus of the post. Week 1 is grey, and I think I came up with something really cute! At the same time, I got the new prim nails which are a collaboration between Julia Merosi of Je Suis and Leah McCullough of Naive. So I tried the grey pack, it’s actually 1 pair of nails for 3 hand sizes, and a version with or without a ring. Then you wear the included HUD and can change the color of the nails to one of 5 shades, the metal of the ring (if you’re wearing it) to one of 5 metals and then there are 8 stone choices. You can also choose a glow setting if you like. I think they finished off the outfit nicely, the only critique of them is that there is no glove layer included in case the nails don’t cover the ones on your skin. I was already wearing a glove layer with this outfit so I couldn’t have worn another anyway, but it’s something to think about. You can get the nails at either of the designer’s stores linked above.

Next week’s color will be blue, so I’m already thinking of what I’ll wear…

Saturday Shopper

I was up early to head to a couple of shops, and then browsed a bit…now I’m going to have a look at some sales around the grid as I strut myself in this casual outfit. It all started with the new Heatwave Mini from E! Eclectic Apparel and Accessories by Eclectic Wingtips. It’s a simple mini dress that can be dressed up or down depending on your mood and what you what to do in it. There are 12 colors to choose from; and each comes with a gold and silver buckle version. One color is L$225, while the fatpack is L$ 1350. I loved the bold red color which matched the lipstick on the skin I was wearing, so I went from there and decided on autumn-toned accessories even though it’s more of a summery outfit. I stuck with not over-doing today and if the weather permitted, it’s something that is very “me” in real life as well.

Romana Dollarbie by Seldom Blue

Seldom Blue is a brand that is now quite established in Second Life©. They recently opened up a new satellite store at Oceane Island and for the occasion decide to put out this lingerie set called Romana for L$ 1. The set consists of the bra top (with and without arm bands, and undies on all layers as well as the prim arm ruffles and the flouncy train on the back. All the pearl details on the set are hand-drawn and you can tell that it took a lot of effort, making this dollarbie especially generous. This is a permanent special item for the new location, so make sure to check it out!

By the way, when you arrive at the landing point, you will be outside Oceane’s main-store, just go to the right hand side of the steps, and there at the bottom you should find Seldom Blue.
