Chic Critique Update

So the changes are underway at the Chic Critique feed. We’ve removed inactive blogs (those that have not posted since March), as well as added a new method of feeding blogs and thrown up a spiffy new banner! The next step is to move all active blogs to this new method of feeding, which will be a lot more reliable than the old method, during this time there may be some feed irregularities. If you notice your posts not showing up on the feed several hours after posting, please make sure to let Seattle Barbosa know by email: seattle.barbosa@gmail.com

Je Suis Coquette

In French, a coquette is like a flirt. And while I might not be the most flirtatious woman, I don’t think I would need to be in these boots from Indyra Originals by Indyra Seigo. These sexy boots from the Coquette line say enough all on their own.

The top pair are the DV-8 boots (in pink) and the bottom ones are the Addiction boots (in black). Both of these boots come in 4 main colors: white, red, pink and black. The DV-8 are available to purchase either with white laces or ones that match the boot color. The Addiction style is available either with black laces or ones that that match the boot once again. Pricing is L$ 650 for each pair of DV-8 boots, while the Addiction boots are a little more at L$ 700 each.

Now, if only I could manage more than a few steps in something like these…

Swept Up

I thought about a title for today’s post, but it seems to fit I suppose, I’m all swept up in several things now, including how undeniably perfect these new hairstyles from fri.day are. They are both so summery and look like something any of us could do in our real lives – and along with the high quality that’s customary from a fri.day item, you’ve got yourself perfection for your noggin.

The two styles, Hailey and Hailey.2, are similar. Hailey has both sides swept up and pinned with bobby-pins, while Hailey.2 only has the right side pinned up. The rest of the hair is soft waves that fall past the shoulders. Both of these come in 5 color packs at L$ 250 each or you can get all 20 colors of the style of your choice for L$ 875.

It’s time for a clean up at Chic Critique, so I am going through the blogroll and will be removing all inactive blogs, blogs that consistently double post, feeding blogs, or blogs that no longer pertain to Second Life. I’ve been MIA from blogging a bit once again but today I pulled together a look that I love and I hope you will too. I’m wearing a bracelet and necklace from *Ticky Tacky* but these are special L$ 10 items that are available at this year’s Car Wash sale! *Ticky Tacky* is just one of the many vendors there, where nothing costs over L$ 10.

Speaking of low prices, the hair I am wearing is a group gift from booN by boo Nakamura, that you can pick up in the store. There are a number of group gifts you can get there if you wear your tag. Not only do you get a free hairstyle, but you get in a number of colors and most of them are unisex. I think my ensemble called for something choppy and edgy, so this fit the description perfectly.

IFW10 Exclusive Milena Gown by MIAMAI

Yes, I have another IFW10 exclusive design to show you all, this time from MIAMAI by monica Outlander. This is the Milena gown and it comes in 6 colors including the rose version I have on here. It comes with the full skirt and a ruffle for the bodice which I think is really pretty and flattering for those with a small bust like myself. MIAMAI will have a runway show today, Saturday July 17 at 3:00 PM SLT. If you’d like to catch the show, just teleport to the IFW10 sim and make sure to get there a bit early to get a good seat!

IFW10 Exclusive Golden Bodysuits by KIM Fashion

International Fashion Week 2010 is underway and there are plenty of interesting, unique and downright gorgeous items! I was lucky enough to score the Golden Bodysuits outfit from KIM Fashion by Kimberly Flagon. She had her show last night, which I am very sorry to have missed, but if you stop by her spot at the event then you can see all her newly released, exclusive for IFW10 items that are not in her store yet. I tried to show the detail on the skirt, which has a band of sculpted roses. You can use the bodysuit in a variety of ways, and add the skirt to other outfits too making this a versatile purchase.
